Gambling and Escape Room

Ah what a fabulous morning, nothing to wake us up and no schedule. A leisurely day of gambling planned. After rolling out of bed slowly we just missed the breakfast buffet at Le Bboucoupe so instead our breakfast was at the Southern kitchen. The food was delicious and the server was kind and courteous, but the serving skills are lacking. Arrival at the table and we no utensils, when coffee appeared only one cup had a spoon,  had to go back for spoon, etc. None of this was enough to suggest a bad review for the place, but skills need to improve.

In contrast, when we had lunch at Asia, again their server was kind and courteous, but her skills were much better. Plates appeared from no where, refills done without asking, yet I never seen any of this happen, it just did.

The afternoon was all about the gambling, Brenda with her video poker and my craps machine (not the craps table but a machine that had same rules but dice were rolled like the game aggravation). No big winnings but no big losses either, just fun and entertainment.

The evening started with an elegant dinner at Embers restaurant followed by the main event of the trip, a visit to the Bayou City Escape room, a short five minute drive from our hotel. Neither one of us had ever been to an escape room but was on both of our list. We were suppose to be included in a group but they bailed and joined another group. This meant we were doing the escape room by ourselves. We had an hour to escape, given clues we had to solve to unlock other clues that would eventually set us free. Unfortunately, we never made it out when time ran out, but the experience was fun.

Returning to the hotel, we ended the night with gambling into the next early morning until we just were too tired to gamble anymore.
